Our chopping boards can be home to many harmful bugs such as E.coli, Salmonella and staphylococcus . A simple and effective way to ward off any bouts of rushed and frantic trips to the loo, all you need is to give your chopping boards a good clean with undiluted white vinegar after each use.

Never use water or dishwashing liquid as these weaken the wood fibres allowing for trapped smells and make a great home for nasty little so and sos!

If you wish to deodorise your boards, sprinkle some bicarbonate of soda on the board before spraying with undiluted white vinegar. Let it foam and wipe off with a clean cloth dipped in cold water.

Hope this week's tip proves helpful! ;-)
